One Health Summit

The OSH Forum has been mandated by the General Secretariat of the One Health Summit to organise the Civil Society Session in Lyon, France.

The One Sustainable Health (OSH) Forum

The One Sustainable Health (OSH) Forum is unique in its efforts to prevent and adapt human practices in response to today’s health, environmental and social challenges.

In response to these health, environmental and social challenges, its objective is to influence public and private policies in support of sustainable health for all by bringing together science, society and solidarity.

Our work consists of:

Bringing together and mobilising a committed transdisciplinary community to address our health, environmental and social challenges (One Sustainable Health), in line with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Promoting and raising the profile of the One Sustainable Health approach at local, national and international levels in order to influence public and private policies in support of sustainable health for all.
Encouraging the creation and implementation of innovative operational projects through the development of the OSH Hub.

Since 3 November 2025, the OSH Forum has given rise to the OSH Hub to further increase the implementation of transdisciplinary projects across borders, in connection with the 2030 SDGs.

The OSH Forum & Hub are supported by the One Sustainable Health for All Foundation (USDT), established on 1 September 2020 in Lyon under the aegis of the Bullukian Foundation, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The mission of the USDT Foundation is to “increase dialogue and innovative projects between public and private stakeholders in support of sustainable health for all”.

Since 4 July 2024, the One Sustainable Health for All Foundation has been placed under the aegis of the Institut Pasteur.

On 20 May 2025, the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, announced during the 78th World Health Assembly:

« I would like us to meet again in Lyon on 3 November, on the occasion of World ‘One Health’ Day, for a ‘One Health Summit’, which will allow us to move forward decisively on these issues with all public and private actors of goodwill. »

« I commend the work of the One Sustainable Health Foundation. »

The OSH Forum has been entrusted by the General Secretariat of the One Health Summit with organising the Civil Society session on the morning of 7 April 2026, ahead of the presidential segment scheduled for the afternoon.

Civil society position statement

Developed as an official outcome of the One Health Summit under the French G7 Presidency in 2026, this declaration gives civil society a voice in support of an ambitious implementation of the One Health approach.

Building on the recommendations put forward at OSH for All Lyon 2025, it asserts that civil society is a key actor in governance, trust, and resilience, and calls for its role to be concretely integrated into public policies.

Supported by more than 220 organizations from over 45 countries, the declaration advocates for policies capable of addressing the interconnected challenges of health, biodiversity, and food systems, while maintaining international momentum beyond the Summit.

Projects led by the Foundation

Launched in 2021, the One Sustainable Health for All forum aims to

define and promote operational recommendations around sustainable health,
unite a community of transdisciplinary experts addressing one health / planetary health issues related to the SDGs,
propose pilot projects and organise events or activities to raise awareness of the OSH approach.

Launched in February 2022 during the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the “One Europe for Global Health” coalition aims to improve and integrate global health and One Health priorities into European policies, strategies and actions by involving civil society and convening actors from all sectors.
